Carlos Morris & Czarina Mirani
A native of Chicago, Colliness Carlos Morris has been performing and working with dancers for over 8 years. As a performer, he has worked and learned under influential choreographers such as Czarina Mirani (Fivestar Boogie Productions), Maria Torres (“SmartSpot”, “El Cantante”), and Kirby Reed (Joel Hall Dancers.
He has performed and choreographed in the underground hit shows “Ladies’ Night Out”, “Party Girl”, and “Baddest Bitch” from Fivestar Boogie Productions, was a regional finalist in the first season of “So You Think You Can Dance”, performed in the Smartspot tour, a nationwide promotion of better living through eating healthy and dance, and worked with various stars including Mario Lopez of “Dancing With the Stars” Fame.
Currently, Mr. Morris is working at Xsport fitness as a Personal trainer/Group Exercise Instructor. He also works with Zumba© as an instructor. He has a personal trainer certification in NESTA (National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association's) and group exercise certification in NETA (National Exercise Trainers Association).
Living by the motto “A new day is a new way of learning”, he strives to learn and bring new techniques of dance to his audiences and students.
Czarina has performed for many companies and choreographers throughout the years (including Joel Hall Dancers, Kirby Reed Ascension Project, Alberto Arias of Hubbard Street Dance, GI Alliance, Elaine McLaurin, and Urban Junction).
She has choreographed and danced for numerous theaters around Chicago such as the Goodman, Strawdog and Factory Theater. Her company Fivestarboogie Productions specializes in all forms of urban dance from House, Hip-hop, B-girling, Jazz, Vogueing, African, Juking and Capoeira.
They have done shows all over the city such as "HIP-HOP CINDERELLA", "LADIES NIGHT OUT", "THE GIRLIE SHOW", "PARTY GIRL" and "BADDEST BITCH" and have performed in clubs such such as Zentra, Crobar, Ontourage, Sound Bar, Domain, Chromium, Allure, The Hothouse, Cabaret, Subterranean, Berlin and Circuit to name a few.
After many years as both a classically trained dancer and a b-girl, Czarina found her love for House dancing in the clubs of New York, and trained with many of the classic House teachers there such as Brian "Footwork" Green, Ejoe, Marjory, Shannon and Caleaf.
She is also the editor/publisher of 5 Magazine, a publication dedicated completely to House music and culture.
